Alter Ego Workshop Week
Young people in dialogue with artists –virtual exhibition of workshopweek in Denmark 2008.

Alter Ego is a EUNIC (European Network of Cultural Institutes) – project and one of the seven flagship projects within the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. From 16 April until 15 September 2008 young people (14 to 18 years old) from 22 countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Sweden and the UK) were invited to take part in an exciting competition. They were asked to create a portrait of themselves alongside someone, their alter ego, from another cultural background.

Over 1600 works were uploaded on www.alterego-europe.eu. The homepage shows the 44 winners, 2 per country. These winners teamed up in Denmark (16—21 November) for a fascination intercultural art workshop.
